Not many of you know about chilli paneer. Well chilli paneer is basically cottage cheese. It is used in a variety of Asian cuisines and in desi as well. Well, desi people can’t imagine their food without chilli paneer. Paneer adds so much flavour to every food that one can never stop eating.
You must have heard about palak paneer but what’s new today is chilli paneer! This is an absolutely amazing and mouth watering dish that we desi people cook at our homes! It’s time we share this amazing recipes with all our cooking lovers out there.
Paneer has multiple health benefits too. It is really healthy for us humans as compared to other cheeses. This helps in bone formation and consists a good quantity of calcium. You know what the best part is? Paneer is not evening fattening! This means you can eat all the paneer you want.
Chilli Paneer Recipe
As the name indicates, this is a very spicy and chilli dish but absolutely worth every single bite. For this you would need a lot of paneer and of course a lot of chillies!
Here is what you need for the recipe:
- Paneer at least ½ kg
- Chillies green
- Red crushed chilli peppers
- Tomatoes sliced
- Minced garlic and ginger
- Oil
- Butter
- Spices of your choice
Directions:
Get set ready because you’re about to make the bestest recipe of your life!
Take a pan with oil. Add in some onions but very little. After they have turned brown in colour, add your minced garlic and ginger. Stir for a while. Once all the things have incorporated add in your Tomatoes. Stir for a while again and let that amazing mouth-watering aroma soak you. After around 5 minutes add in all your spices. Your red crushed chilli peppers should be more in quantity because this is a spicy dish. After 5 minutes add in your paneer.
You have to make sure that your paneer is cut into medium sized blocked. It should neither be very small and neither very big. Cottage cheese does not melt like that so do not worry. Stir it and add your green chillies. Green chillies could be in any form. Chopped or sliced or whatever you like. Mix everything nicely till everything is well incorporated. Add in a very small slice of butter. It will give it a very rich effect. You can add a drop of lemon juice if you want to. Stir it one final time and cover with a lid. Your chilli paneer is ready and definitely tastes amazing!
You can serve the dish with some paratha or roti or maybe rice as well! Everything will taste even more tasty.
